Man Like Me & Ikea?
Sunday, October 17th, 2010OK – so its not really Cornwall related and Man Like Me are not even a Cornish band… but we thought it was worth drawing your attention to the fact that the star act of this years Leopallooza festival, are now featuring in a new Ikea advert. Vote Leopallooza!
Monday, October 11th, 2010Leopallooza has made it through to the shortlist in this years UK Festival Awards and is in the running to collect two awards at the ceremony, taking place at the IndigO2, London on 18th November.
Up for ‘Best Small Festival’ and ‘The Grassroots Festival Award’, the support from attendees and the local community pledging their votes and getting the event through to the final stages has amazed the organisers of the 2000 capacity festival near Bude.
With over 250,000 votes cast in the awards so far, the competition is fierce. Not only would an award help push Leopallooza forward, but with the majority of the lineup at this years event being South West based would further reinforce the strength of the homegrown music scene.
Voting is now open at www.festivalawards.com until 27th October and you can enter into a draw to win two tickets to every winning festival. That could well be summer 2011 sorted!
